2018 Marquette County Landfill Permit
PLEASE NOTE: THERE ARE NEW PRICES EFFECTIVE JAN 1, 2018

Chocolay Township residents can haul items to the Marquette County Landfill by completing a Hauler's Agreement.  Please come to the Chocolay Township Office to get a permit. A $15.00 monthly user fee will be charged along with a deposit of $50.00 (47.50 per ton). Direct hauling can be a considerable savings for Chocolay residents. For questions please call 249-1448. Credit or debit cards not accepted.

Glass Recycle

Puchasing Garbage Tags

One tag is required for each bag set out for collection. Cost is $9.50 for a card of five tags. Tags can be purchased at the following businesses:  Chocolay Township Office, Holiday Gas Station (Harvey), Great Lakes Fresh Market (formerly Cherry Creek Market), Kassel's Korner, Krist Oil (Harvey), Marquette Community Federal Credit Union (Harvey), and Snyder Drug Store (Harvey)

Scrap Metal Pickup

Scrap Metal pickup was changed in 2013.  Now residents can choose the business for their scrap metal pickup or can bring it directly to the business as some will pay residents cash for their scrap metal.

See Scrap Metal Businesses for the list of participating businesses. Please call the business you choose for specific information, or call the Township office at 249.1448 if you have any questions

Metal Drop-Off at Marquette County Landfill
Residents can drop off metal items free at the Marquette County Landfill located on County Road 480. The Landfill is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Stop at the Landfill office for directions when you enter the Landfill area, they will direct you where to drop it off. No other material can be attached to the metal (example: tires or seat on a bicycle).
