Marquette County Landfill Permit
Chocolay Township residents can haul items to the Marquette County Landfill by completing a Hauler's Agreement.  Please come to the Chocolay Township Office to get a permit. A $12.00 monthly user fee will be charged along with a deposit of $40.00 (45.50 per ton). Direct hauling can be a considerable savings for Chocolay residents. For questions please call 249-1448. Credit or debit cards not accepted.

Wood Chips Available
Wood chips are now available at the Township Office free of charge.  They are available on a first come, first serve basis - haul your own.

Gentz's Compost Site
Gentz's compost site, located at 264 Little Lake Road, is now open for the season.  As a convenience to the residents of Chocolay Township, they provide a site at NO COST for disposal of grass clippings, leaves, and pine needles ONLY. 

Please be considerate of the service that is offered to Chocolay Township residents and only dispose of the proper materials.

Purchasing Garbage Tags

One tag is required for each bag set out for collection. Cost is $9.50 for a card of five tags. Tags can be purchased at the following businesses:  Chocolay Township Office, Holiday Gas Station (Harvey), Cherry Creek Market (formerly Jack's IGA), Kassel's Korner, Krist Oil (Harvey), Marquette Community Federal Credit Union (Harvey), and Snyder Drug Store (Harvey)

Metal Drop-Off at Marquette County Landfill
Residents can drop off metal items free at the Marquette County Landfill located on County Road 480. The Landfill is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Stop at the Landfill office for directions when you enter the Landfill area, they will direct you where to drop it off. No other material can be attached to the metal (example: tires or seat on a bicycle).
